Most Budgeting Apps Were Not Built for Your Brain

Traditional budgeting apps ask you to categorize every purchase, link your bank accounts, and check in constantly. That works great if your brain can sustain focus on boring tasks. But if you have ADHD, you already know how that goes.

You download the app. You set it up with good intentions. Three days later, you stop opening it. Then the shame spiral starts.

Here is what ADHD brains are actually up against:

AUNTIE ZERO was built to fix all of that. Not with more features. With fewer decisions.

Here Is How AUNTIE ZERO Works

You can be fully set up in under five minutes. Seriously.

Sign Up and See Your Dashboard

Go to app.auntiezero.com and create your free account. Once you are in, your dashboard loads right away. This is your home base. The big number at the top? That is your Safe-to-Spend, and it is the only number you need to pay attention to.

Your Safe-to-Spend starts at zero. It will update as you add your income and bills in the next steps.

Add Your Income

Tap "Add Income" and enter what you earn. You can add a regular paycheck, freelance gigs, side hustle money, cash gifts, or anything else that puts money in your pocket. Have more than one income source? Add them all. Your Safe-to-Spend updates the instant you hit save.

AUNTIE ZERO works with irregular income too. Add money whenever it comes in and your number adjusts automatically.

Add Your Bills

Tap "Add Bill" and enter the recurring expenses you need to pay every month. Rent, utilities, phone, subscriptions, car payment, whatever you have. Each bill you add gets subtracted from your Safe-to-Spend so you always see what is left after your responsibilities are covered.

Need to split a big bill into smaller payments? Use the Multiple Payments feature to break it into installments that match your pay schedule.

Start with your biggest bills first. You can always add more later. Done is better than perfect.

Check Your Safe-to-Spend

Now look at your dashboard. That number at the top is your Safe-to-Spend. It is your income minus your bills, calculated in real time. This is the only number you need to focus on. If it is positive, you have money to spend. If it is getting low, you know to slow down.

No pie charts. No spending categories. No complicated reports. Just one clear answer to "Can I afford this right now?"

Mark Bills as Paid and Keep Going

When you pay a bill, open AUNTIE ZERO and tap "Mark as Paid." Your Safe-to-Spend updates automatically. That is it. No receipt scanning, no transaction importing, no wondering if you forgot something.

Want your Safe-to-Spend number on your phone without opening the app? Add AUNTIE ZERO to your iPhone home screen. The widget shows your number at a glance so you can check it in two seconds flat.

Set a reminder on your phone to check your dashboard once a week. Even a two-minute check-in keeps you on track.
